Alexei Navalny is a popular opposition figure, and he is strongly against President Vladimir Putin.

Navalny is leading an opposition party called Russia of the Future and through which he is taking a strong stand against Putin's regime. Navalny is the voice of Russian youth under the corrupt Russian government.

On 20th August 2020 he was traveling from the city of Tomsk to Moscow. On the flight to Moscow, he got seriously ill, so they sent him to hospital in Omsk. In the hospital in Omsk, he found out to be poisoned and later went into a coma. When the news of an ill and poisoned Navalny came out, the German government demanded that Navalny be sent to a German hospital instead of a Russian one. The German doctors found that he had Novichok nerve agent in his system. This agent is used only by the military.

When the news that Navalny was poisoned by Novichok became mainstream, the public called it an assassination attempt and the fall went to the Kremlin. When Navalny woke up from his coma, he also blamed the Kremlin of the assassination attempt and he decided to travel back to Mother Russia.

At the Moscow airport he was immediately arrested because of his criticization of Putin's party. He called them crooks and thieves who are sucking blood of Russia through a feudal state. He was pushed to an unfair trial and afterwards was sentenced to 2 year of prison. Navalny has a large following of youths in Russia. The youths in Russia demand that Navalny should get released. Every demonstration that supports Navalny gets shut down by the Police.
